The masters of Argentine Tango are in Basel again!
Im Rahmen des International Tango Festival Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne and the Tango School Basel present the Seminario "Basicos a Fondo"- "Deep Basics"

Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne are among the most renowned Tango teachers worldwide. They revolutionized Tango with their teaching system and are considered as new the great Tango innovators of today with their pioneering style. Their imparts here knowledge with conceptual clarity and rich technique. Their dance is characterized by unequalled creativeness and intenseness. They met, joined their capacities and found a graet harmony.
After touring Europe, America and Asia for many years, they have settled and worked in Buenos Aires. Their thematic Tango seminars are famous, in great demand and always booked out.
All dancers became a lot of impulses and material of Tango for they one dance.
Saturday, 31th March to Wednesday, 4th April 2012, Gustavo and Giselle Anne will start offering their thematic seminar "Basico a Fondo " in Basel.

The seminar program includes a reassessment of the most important choreographic ideas of the Argentine Tango, presented through combinations of sequences.
These sequences are interesting for two reasons:
1 - The "combinations" help to solve coordination problems and to improve overall control.
2 - Gustavo and Giselle Anne have selected these sequences because the combinations have a special beauty - the focus is sometimes on "shape," sometimes on "dynamics", and sometimes on "structure".
The objective of this program is for each class to achieve two complete sequences with at least three important ideas.
One of these sequences has large movements, and large changes in the distance of the embrace.
In contrast the other sequence has smaller movements and small (or no) changes in the embrace; but includes many rhythms - perfect for a well-attended milonga.
These sequences enable us to detect, analyze and investigate fundamental problems in Tango dancing.
At the same time, the results serve as examples that can be applied to other variations.
The seminar addresses /Level
- advanced dancers who are used to intensive and demanding work
- Professional dancing couples
- Tango teachers
- For experienced tango dancers
- For intermediate that have the courage of facing the tango as it is, and in its complete magnitude
The seminar covers 20 hours lesson.
Only couples may register.
Course language is English (explanations in French, Spanish, and Italian may be given)
